Astaxanthin is comparable to beta-carotene, but differs significantly in its structure and antioxidant activity.
DESCRIPTION :
Alga Haematococcus Pluviaiis is a source of an extremely powerful antioxidant, the carotenoid astaxanthin. It belongs to the same group as beta-carotene, but has a much stronger effect. Its activity also extends to the brain and central nervous system thanks to its antioxidant abilities.
Haematococcus pluvialis algae are a source of an incredibly powerful antioxidant - the carotenoid pigment astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is similar to beta-carotene, but differs significantly in structure and antioxidant activity. It is ten times stronger than beta-carotene and over five hundred times stronger than vitamin E.
Astaxanthin, a xanthophyll pigment Alg Haematococcus Płuvialis gives salmon, shrimp and krill its characteristic color. One of the most interesting phenomena in the world of fauna and flora is the salmon migration. These fish do a wonderful job of accumulating astaxanthin in their muscles, and this could explain their incredible power to travel hundreds and thousands of kilometers upstream.
More research is needed to explain how astaxanthin works - but today it is possible to use its unique properties without fear, as evidenced by the large number of positive articles in the world's leading press.
